The Occupy Wall Street Movement set to begin in Green Bay
The organizers of the Occupy Green Bay movement, and off shoot of the Occupy Wall Street movement, are planning to start a weekend long or longer protest here in Green Bay this Friday, October 14th at 3pm. They have selected a location of the Front of City Hall, and/or the Brown County Court House. There is last meet at IQ’s Bar tonight at 6pm for last minute organizing. I am sure that they will be looking for supporters of the movement to come down and join them. One would wonder as well if a “base of operations” is in the works. If a downtown landowner would not mind having some protest “campers” on an empty lot, or someone offer an empty building to use as a warming and logistics base, they would be much appreciated for supporting their country and the cause through Occupy Green Bay .
A Former Green Bay Photographers view from a far, San Francisco.
Photographer Robert Schultze, formerly of Green Bay, now lives, works, and studies in San Francisco. He is a friend and he recently documented the the events there and did portraits of the 99% at the Federal Reserve Bank on 101 Market st in San Francisco on 10/08/11. In the video he simply shows some of the people who are the 99%. You can help by going their funding page.
