The “Occupy” Movement Spreads Throughout the US.

The financial protest movement that started with Occupy Wallstreet has begun to spread to other parts of the United States.  The first known open protest to start near  WisconsinOccupy L.A is Occupy Chicago.  With updates on their facebook page as well as their website http://occupychi.org/ the protest is growing through the use of social media.

Original movement organizers stated that overseas protests and the sudden spread of democratic movements in the Middle east and other regions around the the world were an inspiration to use social media to spread the growing frustration with economic conditions and even monetary policy.

The protests have also been notable as they have been receiving little attention in the national news media.   This despite the growth of the movement and the addition of other protests in US Cities around the nation.

The coverage and interest of the movement has also grown rapidly online and on social media.  Citizens of all ages and types are taking part not only in the protests, but also the organizing and support assets,  Another notable difference is the organizers are streaming many on the the protests online with live video feeds from multiple cameras.  This has the benefit of keeping track of events as they occur at site and documents all for history and the World Wide Web to see.

We are watching for the movement to start to take in Wisconsin as we have had our share of protests lately.

We will continue to monitor the situation as it develops and will try to bring a report on the basic issues and policies that the are the source of the problem soon.

A new online inspired Revolution … but here in the US

With the start of the  Occupy Wallstreet protests,Photo by Gene Taylor Photography it appears that a new revolt has begun in this country with online influence.  Americans are starting to see the our Monetary policies are keeping them poor.

The relationship of Wall Street with the economic policies of the United States as well as other “developed” countries are about to be exposed as the source of our economic problems.  Although many may say it is only a problem for those who do not have or control the money, it also effects world peace and stability or lack there of as well as the quality of life for all of the residents of the planet Earth.

The photo to the left by Gene Taylor Photography shows that there are many in power who are not happy with this and are willing to use that power to suppress free speech.  One may say this is also an example the suppression of Democracy in the United States.

Reports are now surfacing of another corresponding protest in Dallas Texas.  All of this will supporting and actually protected my the online group Anonymous.

As these demonstrations spread, and the movement builds momentum, our media outlets here in the United States seems to be keeping a comfortable distance from the story as not to upset their corporate sponsors.   As we are independent and don’t get financial support from any one or any entity, we will soon have an independent report on the demonstrations, as well as local feelings and opinions from a recent local meeting on monetary policy of recent here in Green Bay … with video.
